The Open Kitchen opened it's doors in November 2005.  With a focus on food politics, ethical trade and local sourcing, The OK featured in The Good Food Guide, Hardens and The Michelin Guide within it's first year and quickly became an iconic neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Gosforth and a disruptive antidote to mainstream dining.
